    Everything is delicious. Love the spaghetti. The salads are kind of cheap though. Mostly ice berg lettuce, which isn't that good. Dressing is good, but think they should change it and put in more romaine. The bathrooms are a little old. Need to be remodeled. The toilet seats looked old, scratched up and cheap. Seemed clean but I still put toilet paper down. But in all the atmosphere is very beautiful and nice abd everyone there is friendly.

    So my friends convinced me to give Cascone's another try and now it's become almost a regular joint. We eat here at least once a month. The service is usually always great, the only less than stellar event was getting a server when he was new but the mistakes were understandable. It really must have been either a cooks bad day or something the first time I ate here because since then I've enjoyed every visit. I will admit I stay away from ordering steak but that's only because they usually have something better on their special menu. Their Chine Bones are amazing, the meat so tender it falls right off and their chicken parm is still my stock favourite. They had a beef stroganoff short rib that was probably one of the best things I've ever tasted I am slowly trying to work my way through the menu so I can get a taste of everything and am only a quarter of the way there. It has definitely become a fast favourite in the last 5 months.

    I love this place for lunch! The menu is very affordable and the ambiance is great, down to the Sinatra and Buble playing in the background. Get the lasagna, it's great. I'd come here over and over.

    For a taste of old Italy, this is the place for you. However, the decor is very dated with old Frank Sinatra music in the background. Be prepared for very large portions. Most servings would serve two moderate appetites. Overall a pleasant experience.

    We have been going to Cascone's for years and have never had a bad meal. Some were not as good as others were, but never bad. My Sicilian spouse has grown accustomed to the American version and, even though nontraditional, Cascone's WAS one of her favorites. Strong praise indeed from an Italian citizen. We inevitably arrived on Sunday evening and the soup selection (all entrees come with soup or salad and a loaf of fresh baked bread) was very limited, rather predictable, and mostly boring..chicken of one sort or another with noodles or rice. The salad with the house dressing (an olive oil and vinaigrette) is always good, but inconsistent. Sometimes you get olives, artichoke heart, and croutons, sometimes not. I order the blue cheese crumbles on the side and get a twist of fresh cracked pepper. Very good salad and the great bread makes up for the lack of consistency in ingredients (croutons for example). ... UPDATE ... THE NEW MENU ) AS OF APRIL 2013) IS NOW ALA CARTE (AGAIN ... WE HAVE BEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE) AND SOUP OR SALAD ARE NOW EXTRA WITH A HOUSE SALAD GOING FOR AN ADDITIONAL $3.50 WITH AN ENTREE. INSTEAD OF GETTING THE WARM LOAF OF SESAME SEED TOPPED OF WARM, CRUSTY BREAD IS NOW A COUPLE OF PIECES IN A BASKET ... BOOOOOO! The antipasto selection is limited and non-traditional, including the "Italian Nachos" a huge concoction that looks filling, but not appetizing. With the size of the entrees and the soup/salad, you will not need an antipasto anyway. If you do, get the steamed artichoke (when it is in-season) and share it with your guest. I love veal and their veal parmigiana is superb. Pounded thin, lightly breaded, and pan fried, you get two large escallops on a bed of spaghetti (I order the mastacioli instead, a type of large penne). I do not like that the meat covers the pasta and inevitably have to dig the pasta out to scrape enough sauce together to cover the mastacioli, sometimes having to ask for extra marinara to cover the white bits. The servers are skimpy on the hand grated parmigianno-reggiano cheese, so I usually have them fill up my bread plate and scatter the cheese as I see fit. The veal marsala is not like any marsala dish I have ever tried. They use green (bell) peppers and onions in addition to the more traditional mushrooms, a combination that does not quite work with a delicate marsala sauce. I would not bother with this dish if I were you. The chicken spedieni is very good and bountiful, but everything comes with pasta and marinara sauce, so if you want alfredo or olive oil and garlic, which would be more appropriate, be prepared to pay extra. The pasta dishes are good and my wife usually orders the tortelonni Savina Maria, large shells stuffed with veal and cheese in a white sauce with mushrooms, peas, and pieces of prosciutto (cannot tell if it is cotto or crudo). It is very good and enough for one very hungry person of two light eaters (be prepared to be charged if you share, they charge for everything not priced on the menu). She also likes the Pasta Asiago, bowtie pasta in a crème sauce with broccoli and mushrooms (and chicken if you want to pay extra). The Pasta Asiago comes with tomatoes, but my wife is intolerant to tomatoes (can you believe it, an Italian woman that does not eat tomatoes, drink wine, or cook!). There are a couple pizza choices (two to three depending on the menu) and are decent, being the single serving (one person) size and much smaller than their Naepolitano (from Naples, Italy) cousins...VERY DISTANT COUSINS! The wine list (and menu) change as often my brother's underwear, so do not become too attached to any particular maker or vintage. The house wines are pretty good and USED TO come in various varieties and at $6 per glass, were a relative bargain before they changed their menu last year ... We returned for dinner on April 2013 and the menu had changed once again! THE WINE LIST WAS VERY DIFFERENT ... WINE BY THE GLASS WERE $8 TO $11 AND UP! BOTTLES MAY HAVE RISEN, BUT ARE NOW A MUCH BETTER VALUE. MANY "UPSCALE" RESTAURANTS CAN GET AWAY WITH $8 TO $11 GLASSES OF WINE, BUT CASCONE'S IS NOT THAT KIND OF RESTAURANT AND THOSE PRICES ARE GOING TO HURT WINE SALES BECAUSE CASCONE'S HAS A LARGE SENIOR CITIZEN CUSTOMER BASE AND IN TODAY'S ECONOMY, FOLKS ARE NOT GOING TO PAY THE EQUIVALENT OF $60 FOR A $25 TO $30 BOTTLE OF WINE. We have been going to Cascone's practically every Sunday since 2008, so you would think the wait staff would know us by ame by now. They do not. The receptionist is quite friendly and knows us by face, but do not expect to be called by name by any of the staff, no matter how long you have been going there. Service is friendly enough and things get done on time (mostly), but they do not chit chat and seem to care less who you are. After all, I am there for food and companionship.with my table mates, not to make friends with the wait staff. CombatCritic NOW gives Cascone's Only 6 Out of 10 Bombs

    We were out of towners celebrating a special event and could not have had a better experience. Kim is probably the best waitress in KC. Great well prepared old school Italian food. Soups made from real stock, home made croutons, scratch pasta, stlow cooked sauce. Thank you Cascones for a really special night!

    We had a young girl with glasses, MaryRose?, as our server. She handled a table of 5 that grew to 18 eloquently. We were there for a graduation....She was very attentive, friendly and had her team assist while managing our table. Thank you for a delicious dinner and great service!

    From one truly full-blooded Italian to all the people reading this review, Cascone's is fantastic!!! A delicious meal at very fair prices, great service, very pleasant atmosphere, and again, wonderful food. Even if you're on a budget, head to Cascone's for their Early Bird dinner. A complete meal for next to nothing!! Great place for family, friends, children and anyone who appreciates quality, value and great food!

    Having tried some Italian restaurants in my day, this place is as good as I've had, top three for sure. I'm basing this on 4-5 visits over the last few years, and consistently great food and generally very good service. The menu is stacked with the best Italian choices the diehards want (Alfredo anyone?) along with a few picks and seasonal mix-ins that keep it interesting. I've had a few different selections on the menu, and as an active person love the proteins, so I always get a chicken breast if the meal doesn't come with one. They tenderize their chicken very well, put a beautiful breading on it, and saute'/pan-fry to perfection. It's some of the best chicken I have found in a dine-out, Italian food not withstanding. The alfredo selections are delightful, with the sauce being creamy but not overly heavy like some "chains" tend to do it. Their tomato-cream sauces are superb, and various pastas are always fantastic. I've ordered the "Italian Flag" the last couple times, as you get Fettuccini, Chicken Parmesan, and their Lasagna...MORE than enough food for anyone I know. It's a fantastic way to sample three different meals and showcases how rounded they are with menu and quality. The chicken parm is crispy, with a lovely marinara and cheese on top; the lasagna is a few layers thick and tastes terrific. My wife has gone through some of the "fruity" menu choices, like the Chicken Limonada, and again, terrific with a hint of lemon that takes the dish to another level. We've also had the fish here, and eggplant parm...they do it all very, very well. Then there's the desserts....ooooh Lort (in my Madea voice). They have a dedicated "cake" vendor that reportedly makes their cakes from scratch, and they are DIVINE. They usually have the lemon cake (to die for) and their seasonal is strawberry. Do yourself a favor...get both and take them home. You'll thank me later. Both are served in LARGE portions, and the fruit flavor that pops with the moist sponge and rich frosting...I shake my head because they're that dam good. Those and the Torta di Cicolatta are mind-blowing...rich layered chocolate cake with various layers of thick frosting...spectacular. Save for one visit that had issues with a server being very confused about our ticket, we really haven't had a bad experience there, and this places always satisfies the Italian craving. The owners and managers also make the rounds to each table to greet and inquire about the food...a lost art in today's dining world. If there's a better place in KC, give me a reply or a shout so I can try that too, because this is as good as I've found, and that's saying a LOT. Bravo, Cascone's.

    After so many years in the same location, still serving quality food, with impeccable service. We had to wait about 15 min. Even though we had a reservation, but they were really busy on a Saturday night. I had the Italian flag, a sampler with lasagna, chicken Parmigiana, and fettuccine Alfredo. I took home more than I ate, as it also came with a nicely chilled & fresh Caesar salad. It is also always nice to have a visit from the owner checking on your happiness with your visit. You won't find better Italian food in Kansas City. Highly Recommended!!!

    The food was fair at best... As far as a dining experience there is none!!! I've never felt so rushed in a fine dining restaurant as I was in this one of course it's not exactly fine dining but it's it's upscale casual. From the time we were seated until we left it was nothing but a constant rush I observed other tables to make sure if it was just our server but it was not. It became very obvious they are trained to do a Cattlecall get them in and get them out to spend $60 for dinner and to be treated like that was appalling.

    We had dinner at Cascone's on Saturday evening. We went early (about 5:30), so it wasn't crowded yet -- any later, I would strongly recommend reservations. I loved the "Old World" decor! We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive, but not hovering, and very helpful with checking on dishes for my lactose intolerant husband. He chose the Chicken Limonata Elaina and the kitchen left out the cream in the sauce. I ordered Chicken Spedini "Our Way". His dish was wonderful; mine was edible, but not great. According to the menu, the chicken is filled with cheese, rolled in breadcrumbs, and grilled. I neither saw nor tasted any evidence of cheese and the chicken roll was fried; not grilled. Also on the plate was a big pile of pepperoncini and no Lemon-Garlic Amogio sauce. It's almost like I was served something completely different from what I ordered, but I looked at the on-line menu and there is nothing on the menu like what I got! The side of pasta that came with the dish was very overcooked. Al dente pasta at an Italian restaurant should be a given, but this was mush. The sugo (sauce) is very sweet -- guess that's why the word looks like sugar. Others in our group had Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo, Veal Parmesan, and Jennie Cascone's Canneloni. I didn't taste any other dishes but they all looked wonderful and everyone enjoyed them very much. Salads were great and fresh. Their bread is delicious. If in KC again, I would like to give them another chance because the atmosphere was great, but I sure won't order the Spedini again!

    Even the greatest service can't make up for food that is not a festival in my mouth. We were seated right outside the kitchen...really servers almost hit their trays on us. So we asked to move...ok sure.. We ordered the good old chicken speidini, Caesar salad, and grilled asparagus. Bread comes with butter but if you want oil dip...you gotta pay... Bread was good but served with cold butter. I guess I am not getting the cold butter on not warm bread thing... Speidini was good but not saucy and if u know this thing, u gotta have juices to dip.. Glad I have a groupon otherwise I would have wasted a ton of money on mediocre food. Ambiance is good, bar is extensive and so is the wine menu... Just not willing to pay 20 bucks on a single entree that doesn't make my mouth have a dance.

    I haven't been to this original location of Cascone's in years so when the stars aligned to have a Groupon and a night with no kids my hubby and I made the trek up north to check it out. I have to say, I love the ambiance of this place. Very old school Family Italian with the owners and chef out mingling with the common folk. And this place still packs them in so I'm surprised they would even mess with Groupon. That being said, here are my pros and cons: PROS: The dipping service for the bread is muy-delicious! The ambiance (as mentioned above) The food -- my chicken limonata and fettucini was delicious as was my hubby's crazy alfredo CONS: While our waitress was very friendly we felt rushed and like she really want to turn her table faster. She came back to box up our leftovers while we were still eating and she never offered us fresh ground pepper. My husband was anxious to try the special of the night (Franco Lasagna) but we were told when we placed our orders they were out.....on a Saturday night before 7:00. And yet, we weren't warned when we were seated and handed the list of specials. The dipping service, while delicious, should not cost money, it should be free. I'm going to drop $50+ on dinner for two and your going to nickel and dime me on olive oil???? All that being said, I'm not sure I would venture out of the county to go here again but if I were up that way I would stop by. (Note - I've never been a fan of the Johnny Cascone's on Metcalf which I believe is owned by the brother of this North KC location.)

    Disappointed really. It's not the same =( There was no host, and my server kept on forgetting my dad's drink... and it was only iced tea! The stuff mushrooms were amazing though. I got the cheese ravioli, and the pasta was under cooked and the sauce was salty. My mom's shrimp fettuccine alfredo was okay, it could be a bit more creamy. My dad's sauteed whitefish with fresh potatoes and green beans were fried whitefish, canned green beans with bacon and saggy taters =( Cascones! What HAPPENED TO YOU?!

    My friend wanted his post-birthday celebration held here at Cascone's because it was one of his favorite places to eat at. We had a pretty big group but they accommodated us by giving us two long tables in the back. A lot of people in our group were still on their way so we waited for most of them to show up before we started to order our food. I ordered Johnny's Combo ($16.99) and nothing else since I felt like it would be enough for me. It consisted of lasagna, spaghetti, Italian sausage, meatball, mushrooms and parmigiano reggiano. My friend ordered the Chine Bones ($6.99) for an appetizer along with something else. I don't remember the names to some of the dishes I took pictures of. lol It took awhile for our food to come out but that's because they wanted to bring everybody's food out at the same time. In the meantime, we all snacked on the bread they gave us which was good. My soup (came with everything on the menu but you could choose salad) came and it was called Bean Soup or something like that. It was a little bit too salty and I didn't finish it. Later, my Johnny's Combo came and it didn't look like a lot but it was! Everything tasted pretty good to me. I was full when I managed to finish the lasagna, the meatball, and the Italian sausage. I haven't taken food home since I moved to Kansas City so this was the first time I had to do that. I'd usually finish everything in one sitting but this was a lot. I also didn't want to give myself a food coma which would have happened if I ate everything. I thought the food was good and they had a lot of food on the menu that sounded good.

    I usually go to the Cascone's in Overland Park but since I work up North now, this is a great lunch spot. 4 of us went the other day and it was the 1st visit for 2 of them. They ordered off the lunch menu and I ordered the Sauteed Whitefish with rice and veggies. It was perfect. I also asked the waitress if they had margarine since I can't eat butter, she said no but she would make sure they cooked everything in oil and brought me some olive oil with spices and garlic for me to dip my bread in. She was great. She kept our glasses full and the bread coming. We were stuffed when we left. Happy tummies = Happy customers. They have a nice lunch menu and good prices. Great place to stop in for a quick, yummy, Italian bite.

    Love this place. There may be better Italian fare in the city but the level of customer attention here cannot be topped. We go here to celebrate any kind of good fortune. We could go the the one in Kansas but the atmosphere just does not match. For good food, appreciation for your choosing their restaurant to eat - this is the place to go. Love it.

    The bf and I came here on a busy weekend night. The decor is interesting...very old school. This is certainly a family friendly restaurant and there wasn't many couples. We ordered stuffed mushroom for appetizer. I ordered the seafood pasta ($19.99) and bf had the gnocchi. The stuffed mushroom was creamy and perfect. We both got a dinner salad and it was standard. They gave us tons of seafood but unfortunately the mussels were not fresh and it was fishy tasting. I have yet to find fresh seafood in KC so yelpers, PLEASE let me know where to get them. Our server was a little awkward and he made the whole dining experience both entertaining and strange. My boyfriend described the food as pricy homemade Italian. Our conclusion was we would only come here if we had a groupon or some sort of deal because the quality of the food certainly is not worth the price.

    Dinner here with son and daughter-in-law. Our son swore it was some of the best Italian food around. I'm in Kansas City. I want STEAK! Well, I got it. Had the filet mignon and since it is an Italian restaurant I opted for fettuccine instead of a baked potato. Both were great choices. Steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the fettuccine was creamy and delicious. Cascone's bread is something special as well. It comes before the meal so be careful. Its delicious and you can get full quickly. Ask for the dipping oil (evoo,cracked black pepper, garlic, and basil). Daughter-in-law started with chicken soup. I had a taste. I'd buy this stuff by the gallon if I could! The wine list is not enormous but has something for every taste and every dish. Everyone at the table was full and happy. Bonus: One of the owners came by the table and chatted with us for a while. Very friendly and seemed really interested in our opinions of the food and service and equally interested in where we were from and what sort of foods we enjoy. The decor is big-time throwback. You fully expect Vic Damone and Tony Bennet to take the stage any minute.

    Spent my first New Years Eve having dinner and rather than wait for a table in dining room a booth in the bar opened up for the 4 of us and I am so happy we chose it. There was a 2 piece band right next to us and they weren't so loud we could still talk. All of our dishes were perfect and more than plentiful. We all took home to go boxes and price was about $12-16, doesn't get any better! It was packed and busy but everyone was happy and our waitress was so much fun. Made another night of great memories at Cascone's!

    Delicious food! We had the seafood stuffed artichoke for an appetizer. It was delicious!! My entire table enjoyed their meal. The prices are fair especially for the amount of food you get. I do wish the lighting was better, it is awful dark in the restaurant. My server was a bit slow but it was no big deal because we weren't in a hurry. Next time we travel to Kansas City we will be back!

    First visit ever. Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend. It was 5-ish and the place was half empty but we felt rushed before our butts hit the chair (the "hostess" was actually our server and wanted our drink order). Every aspect of our meal was rushed including being given a dessert menu while still on the entrees and being told we could take our food home. Huuuuuh?!?!? Unexpected charges (the first three should have been mentioned by our server): A flavorless herbed oil for bread every other restaurant tables for free offered us by the waitress. The charge IS on the menu but, again, butts barely seated before it was offered. $3. I asked if I could get marinara on ravioli instead of regular sauce or meat sauce listed on the menu. She said sure. $1.50. Another diner near by was served a "salad" of tomato slices with onion and cheese. I asked the waitress what it was because I did not see it on the menu. She said it was not on the menu but available. I ordered it as my salad with the ravioli. She asked me what salad I wanted. I said the tomato salad was all I needed. She said, "But it comes with it." I said I didn't need two salads. The tomato salad was $6.95...I guess her statement was to be interpreted that the price of the salad I didn't want would not reduce the price of the one I did. ROCKS?? My husband had two margaritas (I know, I know...margarita at an Italian restaurant...he's a grown man, he can get what he wants). Waitress asked if he wanted frozen or on the rocks. He said rocks. Bill has a $1.00 charge for ROCKS on it. I am not a cheapskate. I want what I want the way I want it and I contentedly incur up-charges all the time. At restaurants I frequent, they've quit telling me about them. At less frequented places, my reply is always, "that's fine". Four unexpected charges in one visit (two of which are completely ridiculous!) is too much. I didn't care for the sauce... too sweet for me. But the worst taste in my mouth was the one I got when the bill arrived. $69 + change for three beverages, lasagna with sausage, ravioli with marinara and grocery store bread. Won't be back.

    Is it good? Yep. Been here twice, thanks to a couple of Muncharoos. Service is excellent... atmosphere is pretty good... and the food isn't too bad. During our first visit, the food came out FAST -- as in: I got a couple of bites of salad in, and boom, the main course was ready. During the second, it was just the opposite -- dinner took a little longer than expected to come out. Both times, I had the fettucine alfredo, since I'm a sucker for it. The noodles were cooked well, the portion sizes were just right, and the sauce had the right consistency and flavor. The atmosphere is pure family Italian -- walk in, and you can tell that it's a family owned Italian restaurant. Red lighting, booths... I took a picture of a white menu for my FB and it came out pink. Second time, the Christmas decorations were up, and you could tell that... the family loved Christmas. Yeah. Both times, the service was totally family.... the folks got along, they loved their customers, and were thrilled to have customers in their home. Downsides? The prices seem to be a little steep... and there was a sense that the servers were actually apologizing for the place not being busier than it was on both fronts. (In both cases, the visits were during weekdays, so it's not like we were expecting them to be packed.) I'll go back, sure. Would I go back regularly? I'd... um... need to go back a couple of more times first to tell.

    Our family has been dining here for about 50 years. Seems like they are under new management with some recent changes. Example, portions are smaller, prices are not. Servers are not as attentive in offering cracked pepper or Parmesan as they used to be. The chicken spedini has undergone a change and not for the better. They have some decent early bird specials that are priced along the line of what the entire menu should be. We've been disappointed on our last couple of visits but couldn't give it 2 starts --- YET!

    My bf and I decided to come here for our anniversary and I am so glad that we did! I did some research before we went there (like I always do :) ), and I learned that they have an early dinner menu Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm and on Saturdays from 2-5pm. You get soup or salad, your main entree, and dessert for just $10! It's an awesome deal! But before we even started on that, but thanks to you Yelpers, we decided to try the stuffed mushrooms ($8.99)....I know that they are almost the same price as our 3-course meal, but since it was a special occasion we decided to splurge a little bit. The stuffed mushrooms were so delicious! They had a blend of crab and shrimp in them and they were baked in this creamy herb butter sauce. You only get 4 pieces, which is really unfortunate, but they are so darn good! You have to at least try these! Now onto our $10 meal! So I started off with the Creamy Potato soup that they had for that night and it was so good! YUM! It was very heavy and rich, but it was a cold night and so hearty that it warmed me all the way to my toes :D. For my entree, I decided to try the Canneloni Florentine, thanks to the recommendation of our waitress, Randy (it was a girl). It consisted of 2 fresh pasta tubes that were stuffed with this veal and spinach combination. On top of the pasta tubes, it was covered with cheese and a light creamy tomato sauce. YUM! It had the same cheesy parts as the stuffed mushrooms! So good! My bf got the Italian Combination Plate (Baked lasagna and spaghetti with a meatball on top)....the lasagna was so good! It was a ton of food too! We then ended our meal with spumoni ice cream with whipped cream. It was a perfect way to end dinner and we both definitely had leftovers :). We will definitely be back for another early dinner special! Other stuff: The restaurant is huge on the inside! There was so much space and the whole place got packed and it was just a Tuesday night. Most of the other patrons were an older crowd....and they all would come in groups of at least 6+ people.....The decor is your classic Italian....but with a ton of red! They use colored scarves to cover the lights to give the place a glow....if I had to envision a Valentine's day restaurant.....this would be it because of all the warm colors throughout the restaurant and the soft red glow everywhere :) Pros: - excellent Early Dinner Menu....3-course meal for just $10! -stuffed mushrooms were excellent! Very creamy and delicious! Cons: - when we first got there...our waitress did not greet us for the first 10 minutes.....the owner of the restaurant saw this and came and personally apologized for it.....it wasn't really the fault of our server Randy either because she was also catering to a big group of 8 people at the next table......but other servers saw that no one had stopped by yet, and every time I tried to make eye contact, they would just blatantly disregard us......Cascone's better fix this or they're going to start losing business. Why I gave it a 5..... Despite the service being so terrible initially, our waitress Randy made up for it in the end. The food tasted fantastic and I am so excited to come here again for an Early Dinner meal...such great value and it is so reasonable!

    Just finished my shrimp diablo pizza leftovers...I wish there were more. Our Entertainment Book coupon brought us to Cascones, however, it had only one location on it and the North Oak one wasn't it. Graciously, the host told us they would honor it, it was $10 off, but you can get a North Oak coupon online through entertainment.com It was date night and we chose the darkest corner of the restaurant on the bar side. I wasn't in the mood for heavy pasta (although that is not often.) I spotted a new menu item, the diablo pizza. My husband got the pasta with meatballs. They do pizza well. The crust with crispy and chewy, the cheese was perfect and the sauce was good and spicy. There was a perfect amount of basil and shrimp on it, the only way it would have been better was a touch of chorizo (but I don't think that even exists there.) We also had the bread dipping (service?) Which is much like lemony Italian dressing? (not sure) It wasn't my favorite but the husb loved it. It is extra, which they didn't mention. Other than that, service was great, love the 70's furniture and will always go back.

    Although many have had great experiences here, ours was average. We went to dinner here on a early Saturday evening before it was too crowded. Our waiter greeted us and brought waters and he did not return for 15 minutes to take our order. Once he did take our order, everything came out very quickly but the initial wait seemed to take ages. The food was good but not excellent. We ordered the olive oil starter which was delicious! The house salad was average and could be improved. The chicken spedini was good, but am a huge fan of Garrozos. The spedini was served with a side of spaghetti. I would like to try the Overland Park location in comparison but with all the other great restaurants in KC may or may not return.

    Took a date to this Cascone's earlier this evening. Have been there once before but it was a long time ago. Was promptly greeted upon entering and seated by a window in a booth with a view which was nice. The hostess, server, and an older lady (family?) were all very nice. Our waitress was prompt and got our drink orders early. However my date asked for a Dr. Pepper and we were advise they didn't have soda via fountain and that it comes in a can. We were also advised if she wanted a refill it would cost a dollar for each additional can of Dr. Pepper..... Seems very nickel and dime like, for a $50 meal I should be able to get free refills. The bread was brought to the table cold, but not stale or hard. Taste was good, butter was generic individual bars like at a cheap hotel. Décor was very outdated and worn. I like the smaller type family owned décor, however this décor has been the same for many many years and is falling apart, the seats were worn out and peeling, the walls and carpet looked the same, clearly needs a remodel. We both got Cearsar salads, but they did not come with the meal, instead were seperate...again seems nickel and diming considering size of salad. Salad was good though very very heavy on dressing...I did not mind however ask for very little dressing or you will be fishing it out. I got the Italian Flag dinner which came with Lasagna, Alfredo, & Chicken Parm. The Chicken Parm was amazing, thin breasts but extremely tender and good flavor. The Alfredo was also excellent, thick alfredo sauce and very tender noodles. The Lasagna was good, a little bland and a little heavy on sauce but good. My date got the Chicken Limonata which comes with a side of Alfredo. She also loved the Alfredo, however the Chicken was sitting in a very heavy amount of white wine that did not appear cooked. It was very strong and almost unbearable, was a strong wine and really detracted from the excellent otherwise chicken. Pros: Nice people Quick seating Excellent chicken and alfredo Cons: Very dated décor Lots of nickel & diming No fountain for soda Way to heavy of uncooked wine for chicken limonata

    I've been to this restaurant twice last week and I'm still willing to go back. Besides the wonderful menu that Cascone's has to offer, they add in a nice list of yummy specials. So I can proudly say, I have yet to actually order off the menu :) The servers are funny and very quick to answer any questions you may have ( even if it's a visiting bureaucrat who wants soy sauce on his veal chop ). I ordered the brased pork shank and Gnocci pasta on the frist night, then the veal chop with bow tie pasta on the second. Both were spectacular. My favorite dessert of the week was the order of Italian Donuts ( these were the bomb!) 12 freshly fried donuts ( crispy on the outside and spondgy on the inside) surrounded a cup of raspberry dipping sauce and all topped off with a ridiculous amount of powdered sugar ! ( mmmmm!.....donuts......) And Lastly, the left-overs are still super yummy the following evening :)

    It's a damn shame. I gave this Italian mainstay flying colors---even earned a ROTD. Why? You disrespected my mother and grandmother on Mother's Day. Of all days. This was "dinner" A dense, unsliced loaf of bread. A limited menu for Mother's Day---all items noticeably marked up. (When my stepdad asked for his favorite dish from the regular menu, the waitress balked at the inquiry sharing "we don't want to confuse the kitchen on a day like today" That set the tone for the rest of the menu. We all know that restaurants consider Mother's Day to be Black Sunday----but to skimp on service while upping prices is penny wise and pound foolish. As soon as they heard a fork drop they were offering to clear the plates. I'm a fast eater, you can leave my plate til Gran is done. It's Mother's Day. Come on. You sell yourself as a family establishment. Food was on point, but you could tell from the menu that most of what you could order was probably already cooked that morning, and only needed to be assembled. Individual salads? Nope, they gave you a large bowl and made you serve yourself. Servers were cold and short with customers. I heard them bickering between themselves at least twice. She couldn't wait to turn the table. Which explains why she brought out a bare receipt and slapped it in front of my stepdad at first opportunity. At Mother's Day---Cascone's wants you to pay more for less, and hopes you'll fuggit about it. Don't disrespect my mother again.

    5 stars, as good as it gets. Classic Italian. Very affordable, and a down right steal if you happen to snag a groupon that they offer once or twice a year. I have been visiting this restaurant for over 40 years It is still outstanding. My favorite is the Italian flag combo, which includes baked lasagna, chicken parm, and the worlds best fettuccini alfredo. Nice size portions, exquisitely prepared. One the top 5 best restaurants in Kansas City.

    Cascone's can satisfy your Italian food craving.... I went here with some friends during a thunderstorm that subsequently caused the area to lose power. However, Cascone's has a generator that allowed us to dine despite the power outage. I ordered Ravioli Cascone with meatballs. The portion was huge, and they gave me 3 supersized meatballs. I also tried the Chicken Limonata Elaina, which was fabulous. I ordered tiramisu for dessert, and it was amazing. The only downside of our experience was the service. I'm pretty sure our server had a cold from the way he was sniffling all night. He also seemed like he didn't want to be there, and was not focused on us while taking our orders. All of this could be due his cold, but it did take away from our experience. We had to repeat our orders several times, and when we asked to claim our free order of toasted ravioli for checking in on foursquare, they never came. We reminded the waiter between dinner and dessert, and we finally got them. Would I go back? Yes. In fact, I'm craving it just sitting here writing this...

    The food was mediocre at best. For a place that people say is the best italian food in Kansas City....totally disappointing. We had the Italian Flag with soup and salad and it just wasnt good. Smothered in marinara sauce that lacked the flavor of a good Italian restaurant. Chicken overcooked. The server was soooo awkward, made us feel uncomfortable, and the food wasnt worth it. We will not be returning.

    Sin. It now has a new name and comes in the form of the Chocolate Mousse Cake found at Cascone's. This ain't your grandma's chocolate cake. It's heavy, unbelievably moist, dark and rich. Cake so rich, that you can't eat it alone. Oh you'll want to, but it's just not possible. It's hard for two people. Cake so good it has to be kept refrigerated. Cake so good your temper may flare a bit at the intrusion of the sprinkled powered sugar on the plate. If this cake is indeed a new take on sin....I'm so going to hell. The food is not a good as the cake, but then again, nothing can hold a candle to the cake. In all seriousness, the food is fab. I've never had a bad experience here. I adore the Italian Flag ... mini servings of lasagna, chicken parm and spinach fettuccine alfredo. My most recent discovery here is the Italian steak sandwich. I was very skeptical when I ordered it because of past experiences elsewhere, but my need to try yet another took over. I wasn't disappointed. It's out of this world. It comes with a side of pan fried seasoned potatoes. I'm not a big fan of fried spuds, but I ate every one of them. Now, I wonder what they're wearing in Hell this year ?????

    I dislike Yelp reviews that compare one city to another. It seems that denizens of some cities feel that they have cornered the market on certain experiences and that no other city should attempt them. Trafalmagar's in Boofoo Town is sooo much better than anything you could find in Kansas City? Fine. Then eat there and leave me to my "sub-par" offerings. The reviewers seem to lack an understanding of regional difference and it irritates me. If City Z were exactly like City B, then you would have stayed home. But then... I tried Cascone's. I'm sorry, but I have to do it. I'm from St. Louis, home to "The Hill," a quiet Italian neighborhood known for its phenomenal Italian food. Chefs from Saint Louis have been nominated for James Beard awards, been flown to the White House and been featured on Oprah all on the strength of their Italian skills. I'm familiar with great Italian food. Cascone's isn't it. I'd been jonesing for some great Italian for awhile, so my fiancé took me to Cascone's, touting it as the "best in Kansas City!" The décor kicked things off right, very old world, old school. I got even more excited as I checked out the menu - a genuine antipasto platter and chine bones are good signs when you are looking for authentic. Our waitstaff was pleasant and attentive, and even joked around with us a bit. So far, so good. We ordered - I had the Chicken Marsala and he got the Italian Flag Combo. Food is no longer his and mine, it is ours, so I got to sample some of everything and... Ugh. Instant deflation. My Marsala sauce tasted gluey, like a thickening agent (I'm thinking flour?) had been added. The texture just wasn't right, though the flavor wasn't terrible. And the tomato sauce on that famous lasagna left me desolate. Where are the chunks of real tomato? Where is the fresh basil? This stuff tasted and looked like ketchup with some oregano thrown in. Well, oregano and sugar. No. Just... no. I would slap the chef's hand if I could. Reading the reviews, I have to wonder if I'm wrong. But I would think that fresh and flavorful would have been an all across the board kinda thing. I'm willing to give it another try, KC, because you seem to know your stuff in other respects. We'll see.

    I went here with work friends and I came away quite impressed that there is a decent Italian place with a mafia feel to it right in the heart of KC. The bartender spoke and looked like someone from the cast of the Godfather - a great welcome in. The lasagna with meat sauce was quite good. One requirement of an Italian place is prompt delivery of bread and butter with rapid refills. Cascone's delivers on both.

    Delicious! Pleasant, quiet atmosphere, and accomodating for my 2-year-old. The tortellini was super-rich but well worth the price. The only thing I noticed that was lacking in my meal was the house salad. The best Italian restaurants always have super house salads. The lettuce mix was basically iceberg, and the toppings minimal. I'd love to go back for dinner.

    I so WANT to like Cascone's. But I've been here twice and so far, the food quality really doesn't justify the hefty prices. Basically, it's about quantity over quality here and I could also do without the red/pink lighting in the dining room! That said, the bread is really pretty yummy but why is there no olive oil on the table?? My pasta wasn't anything I couldn't make at home and the sauce was only so-so. Nothing special. The salads that come with your dinner are decent and I think the dressing is homemade but overall, if I want a gut-busting carbo overload, I could stay home and make it all myself. One star demotion for the crappy wine list.

    A family favorite--although I hadn't been there before, I took my Aunt there for her birthday on a Wednesday evening. There was a quiet ambience, with Sinatra playing, and some families with well-mannered kids. Seating was spacious (not cramped, like some other traditional Italian). I ordered the Sicilian--veal w/ eggplant. The veal was nicely breaded and tender; eggplant was two 1/4 inch slices--topped w/ mozzarella. The best part was the marinara--delicious, not sweet but fresh tomato taste, with small chunks of tomato. I'll definitely return--Aunt said I must experience the deck in warm weather.

    Everything was great. The only thing was that we had a big party, in one of their rooms, and the services has been way better, even with a big party. I don't know if they were extra busy or what but it seemed to take forever to get menus and drinks. When my food came it was great! I didn't order pasta though, I ordered the filet. I wasn't disappointed. I have had filets from several steakhouses that were not this good! If it were not for the food I would have given a three star rating.

    Went on Valentine's day very crowded but was very organized and staff was swift and really polite for such a busy day. Bread and soup were great. Had the Lasagna with meatballs sauce was great. Atmosphere was romantic. Food prices were modest for its selection. Under $40 for two. Best thing about it was that they didnt have cheap toilet paper!!!

    I have been here 3 times, now. Each time I have left happy. My favorite time visiting the restaurant was a Friday during Lent. I was looking for a seafood dish that wasn't boring. It was wall to wall crowded, but the chef and server took their time talking to us about the specials. It felt very personable and I felt that we were very welcome. The lobster spedini was suggested to me. It was the most meal on the menu, but I do not regret ordering it one bit! To me it was worth the price. The next time I went, I wanted to order it again, but being that it was a special, there was no lobster available. The chef offered to make a shrimp spedini for me, but instead I ordered the white fish. At the server's suggestion, I ordered it with a butter sauce and capers. I now crave that meal! Their salad is good. The bread is good. I have yet to order anything there that I did not like. It seems to be managed well for the good service we received even when the restaurant was very crowded.

    A Kansas City classic for Italian food and live jazz. If your a native and never eaten here shame on you, if your in town and want some good Italian food you have two choices Cascones and Garozzos. I have never gotten a dish that was poor at Cascones (and have eaten here my whole life). The service varies from waitress to waitress but is good (not excellent). the prices are very fair for the food quality and gigantic portions. Often they have light music (not over bearing) and seat families in a section separate from couples. So its a great date spot.

    Pre - Marathon Carb Load meal, and man was it a good one... and cheap. I arrived at 5:30 pm and was handed the early dinner menu. On this menu was a selection of meals that included Bread, Salad, Dinner Dish, and Dessert for 10 bucks... Sold! I chosed the Lasagna and Spaghetti with meatball.... OUTSTANDING!!! The Lasagna was so good, I could have eaten a whole tray. The Bread and Salad to start were good, nothing special but good. Like I said Lasagna was great, spaghetti was great, meatball was very good, and the dessert was napolean ice cream with chocolate sauce, it was very good. I felt like I had just stole something when I left only paying 10 dollars for the amount of food I got. I will definately hit the early dinner menu again!

    Meh says it quite well. We got the dipping service as an app, which was good. I got the Canneloni Cascone, which was stuffed with ricotta and Italian sausage. Sounds good, right? That's how they got me too. It was dry, almost chalky. Like eating sausagey sawdust. Also, the mozzarella on top was a unitary sheet of cheese melted on top, not so appealing. My wife got pasta with meatballs, which I tried and was pretty good, an interesting sweet tomato sauce. Maybe they messed up my entree or something, I hope it wasn't supposed to taste like that. I would probably give it another shot, but I was very unimpressed.

    Had a Monday night dinner here with my sister; place wasn't packed at 5:30, when we went, but it got steadily busier. Service -- 5/5. Our server was friendly and attentive; the other servers seemed to be that way, as well. Food -- 4.5/5. Everything was excellent, except that I had too much dressing on my house salad. I highly recommend: -- Table bread: plentiful, soft and warm, with a crispy crust covered in sesame seeds. -- Stuffed mushrooms appetizer: delicious, filling of shrimp/crab. Very good flavor. -- House salad: served on a chilled plate; had a little too much dressing on it for my taste. -- Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti: a large piece of lightly breaded/sauteed chicken with their house red sauce. The sauce is great and doesn't dominate the flavor of the meal. A large portion. -- Lemon Cake (dessert): Cascones is apparently known for their lemon cake, and it is something I very much recommend for TWO people (the size is huge). I love cake, and this one had buttercream frosting and a special lemon topping. Can't recommend it enough. Atmosphere -- 4.5/5. Typical dark Italian restaurant with lots of red. A nice atmosphere. Overall -- 5/5.

    I stopped by after receiving a recommendation from my General Manager as one of the best Italian Restaurants in Kansas City and it did not disappoint. In a city based on BarBQ it was a welcome diversion of such culinary expertise. I had the Sampler that included meatballs, Lasagna, & Spaghetti. The portion size was adequate. The quietness of the restaurant is welcomed and the staff was very friendly.

    I came to visit my parents over the week, and we went to dinner here on a quiet Wednesday night. While it seems that many people recommend this place very highly, I was rather disappointed. Our waitress - and I'll forgive the restaurant for this - was terrible. She was entirely too casual and familiar for the atmosphere. Additionally, I felt that the prices of the food were representative of a place that actually HAD atmosphere. This place had little, in my estimation. The food was adequate - I've had better, and I've had a lot worse - but overall I found the experience to be fairly disappointing.

    This place is close to home and is amazing. It's yummy Italian!!!! The ambience is definitely something you'd find in the Godfather. You could probably spot Vito Corleone at one of their booths. J/K!!! My fiance and I ate here two different occassions and have had the best experience each time. The portions are OMG big. The first time we came I had the Italian Flag Combo which 1) was more than I can eat and 2) oh so deliciouso. Didn't remember what my fiance had. I think I was to engrossed in what I was having. hahahaha!!!! The second time I had Gnocchi with an alfredo sauce and my fiance had the lasagna they had on special. Again, yummy big portions and delicious. I had the Moscato D'Asti with my meal and it was amazing. We had dessert.....I know, I know.....how did we have room? Well, it was difficult but oh so good. I had their cannoli and my fiance had the lemon cake. We both left satisfied and quite full. If you are looking to experience what it was like to be Vito, go to Cacone's. J/K But if you are looking for yummy Italian food, Cascone's is the place.

    Went here a while back when I was still living in KC for a nice dinner with my boyfriend. A coworker suggested it and it was worth it. I had the eggplant parm, and it was melt in your mouth delicious. It came with a large side of yummy spaghetti (or some similar pasta.) My boyfriend got chicken alfredo, and about a year later, he is still raving about the chicken. It was thin and perfectly cooked. The next day we reheated the left overs and I added a little morningstar soy crumble to the left over pasta/sauce and it was incredible. Even his alfredo and chicken reheated perfectly, and alfredo sucks to reheat. I would go back here in an instant next time I'm in KC.

    I was visiting Kansas City and asked a local for a suggestion for a good italian restaurant and I was told about Cascones. Went there with a friend and we ordered italian nachos lasagne and a chicken disk that was stuffed with cheese cut into medallions breaded fried and had a butter sauce. This place was THE BEST Italian restaurant I have ever experienced. I savored every bite! I was in town for training and told the instructors about it. I told them it was wonderful. March 31 2011.

    Unexpected and random location. Tried this one Friday night using Yelp as a selecting tool. This is a larger restaurant, and it was full of patrons. The decor is sorta cheesy and a deterrent in my opinion. However, the service and food (interestingly) made up for it. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Spinach Manicotti in a tomato cream sauce and a Pasta Diablo of some sorta. We would go back. Not my usual choice of location for dining, but this was a good surprise.

    As a Kansas City, MO native, Cascone's will always be my favorite Italian restaurant. The lasagne is like nothing I've had anywhere else. The "old school" vibe and traditionally superb service and quality of the food can't be beat. I have many wonderful memories of Cascone's and try to make it there every time I come home. Having lived in San Francisco for 11 years, I can tell you I sing the praises of Cascone's for all to hear. There is no lasagne better on this earth, I swear!!!

    My boyfriend and I went to Cascone's tonight for the first time after multiple recommendations from friends and are beyond pleased with our experience. Blake was our server and stayed attentive and friendly the entire night. One of the best servers I've had at any restaurant. The food came out quickly and everything was cooked to perfection - we had the fried mozzarella for an appetizer, baked lasagna with Italian sausage & linguini frutti di mare for our entrees, and the chocolate cake for dessert. Each dish outdid the last and we practically had to be rolled out of the restaurant at the end of our meal. We will definitely be coming back & recommending to all of our friends!

    One more reason to love Cascone's . . . the healing power of Veal Limonata. I woke up Tuesday feeling like . . . uh . . . well . . . not good. I had a date to meet wife and friend for dinner. Since our work keeps us 90 miles apart during the week . . . her north of KC, me south . . . Cascone's provides that nice in between date spot. We were also saying "goodbye" to a friend moving away. I was on the verge of canceling all day I felt so bad. But I'm one of that ilk who believes if you're still drawing air, keep your commitment. To add to the evening's memory bin, wife and friend had a huge tree blow over and block the highway forcing a 45-minute reroute. Seriously! The signs were all screaming "Bad idea!" I persisted, sat in the parking lot and waited for my dates. Weeknight. Stormy. Feeling terrible. Act of God delay. Yikes! Through Cascone's front door, though, and the healing began. Since I'd taken some over-the-counter meds, I skipped my usual martini and we got right into dinner. As much as we've eaten at Cascone's I'd never ordered the wedge salad. Wow! It's a meal by itself. Wife and friend had lentil soup and the Caesar, respectively. Entrees were Eggplant Parm (wife), Lasagna (friend) and the aforementioned veal for me. Cascone's serves traditional Italian-American. The menu is consistent. Service is always solid. The price is right. We always look forward to a Cascone's dinner, and we always leave satisfied. By the time I was halfway through the veal I was feeling fine. The limonata provided a needed dose of Vitamin C, and I woke up Wednesday morning totally back to normal. Thank you, Dr. Cascone!

    Love the food here. Note that the menu is not all great and their are pitfalls, but to stay out of trouble, go with the Osso Bucco, they do it with a pork shank and not veal, but it is the finest I've had - bar none. I wish it was on the menu, but is only a special. Perfectly braised pork with fall off the bone goodness and gravy that captures the seasoning broth, tomatoes, wine and deliciousness of hours of cooking. Other great dishes includes the chicken spedini (of course) a marinated breast with breading and cheese and then grilled. If you are not familiar with spedini, as I wasn't when first coming to KC, then this is the go to. Beautiful chicken and Italian herb flavor with lemon, garlic olive oil all grilled to crispy perfect doneness. The Chicken Limonata Elanina is also a good choice very similar to piccata, but no capers. Finally, and note it's not free, the Sicilian oil and garlic dip is as they describe garlic, hers, balsamic and Parmigiano Reggiano is fabulous. I wish they made it table side so I could recreate it, I'd like to drink it, get this! Another item of note that seems to cause some consternation and is simply a matter of preference, but beware - the butter for the bread is served cold. I prefer this approach as the butter slowly melts onto the bread and/or into my mouth, but others seem to be taken aback and you have been warned!

    Walked in, and you're immediately hit by a time warp, back to the 1970s...I remember going to places like this with my grandparents...it looked like they just finished filming the final episode of the "Godfather". Anyway the place was packed, we had reserves for a party of 6, ten minutes later we were seated...things started good and only got better. Our server was perfect, stopped by at appropriate times, made sure we were taking care of, but almost never noticed her because we enjoying the evenings meal. You have to get the garlic and olive oil dipping sauce, sooo good...the roasted garlic cloves melt in your mouth, only problem is, they ward off the vampires and the wife...lol...still ate it... Everyone was getting pasta, so I bucked the trend, went a tad bit healthy and did the honey glazed salmon with veggies and taters...huge portion, great flavor, and omega 3's to boot...only meal hiccup, the Peroni beer was served a tad below room temp, something is seriously wrong mixing beer in a glass of ice...but that's the way it's done in Italy, as I had the same experience on my way to Greece, but that time it was served above room temp... Tip: warm beer is not smooth...ugh Anyway, the group was all completely satisfied with their meals, from ravioli, to shrimp fettuccine, linguini with seafood...all were outstanding... We ended the night with 3 desserts to go, seems someone had a sweet tooth, as I never saw more than the packages to go...next time I'll save some room for the sweets, I heard the tiramisu, made Al Capone's top ten list...

    Finding good Italian food can sometimes be difficult. I have been to countless places with "okay" Italian. They are passable, but it just doesn't satisfy that craving for delicious food, great service, all done in an opulent environment. Cascone's hits every note like a classically trained musician. A true Kansas City treasure! When you can effectively combine amazing food and top notch service, you will go very far. That is why I love coming here. Put that in an over-the-top decorated, but still very beautiful restaurant, this place gets full marks from me. On our last visit, we ordered a meatball special appetizer and the dipping service. The dipping service was nice, but their bread is the star. The meatball was huge, filled with cheese, and smothered in their sugo, which is their Italian tomato sauce. So good! For our entrees, I got the chicken fettuccini alfredo. My wife got Capellini D' Angelo. We both ate our fills and took home plenty in to-go boxes. Excellent meals with excellent service! There is plenty on the menu for us to try on future visits. I plan to try the Italian Flag Combo on my next visit which has the fettuccini alfredo, chicken parmigiana, and their famous lasagna.

    The hubby & I stopped in because craving Italian food. We were seated right away which was nice, staff was amazing! We ordered fried cheese ravioli for appetizer, which was great. It came with a cup of marinara, which was tasteless. It tasted of tomatoes & nothing else. We ordered the Flag of Italy combo plate to split. It comes with lasagna, chicken parmesan & chicken Alfredo. It was awful, the lasagna noodles were over cooked and it fell apart as soon as u put ur fork to it. I personally like the chicken parmesan, but hubby assures me it was as nasty as the lasagna. The Alfredo tasted horrible, like it was cream with no seasoning. So needless to say was so not impressed with Cascones. Don't think we will be back. There are to many other Italian restaurant's in KC to try

    Excellent service, delicious food, huge portions, phenomenal value. I lived up the street from this place for 4 years and drove by it all the time but didn't stop in until a friend invited me for lunch. It seems like a hole in the wall in a part of town. Don't let that deceive you. Ambience is great inside and so is everything else.

    Kansas city has a few Italian restaurants it is known for cascone's is one of them. The decor is a little odd, but the food and service is amazing. Great bar area also. Have dined in several times with my kids They enjoyed the extra attention from the staff, and the spaghetti with meatballs.

    Full disclosure, the Cascones are my lovely neighbors, but I would frequent this restaurant even if they weren't. We have been going there since well before the advent of Yelp and only recently started bothering to "check-in" - it is a classic Italian place with classic Italian food. If you want a big basket of bread with olive oil and a heaping serving of amazing lasagna, there's no better choice in the KC area. But aside from that, they also offer lots of more upscale choices (my husband has the osso bucco last night and loved it), a decent kids menu and friendly and prompt service. If you've never tried it, what are you waiting for?

    Cascone's has some delicious Italian food! Everything on their menu is amazing or at least worth trying. But here are some of my favorites.... For an appetizer, I enjoy getting the stuffed mushrooms. They are stuffed with seafood and of course an obnoxious amount of cheese but who cares. It's the bomb. Entrée, it really depends on what I am feeling. I will get the classic spaghetti cause I mean come on, it's an Italian restaurant and you can't hate on spaghetti. I also love the seafood lasagna when they have it (usually during lent). It is the best thing that has touched my taste buds. The service here is decent. Everyone is friendly and loud so you feel like you're at home with a huge family. Crazy but comfortable. The prices here are a little high so I usually visit when I have a coupon or a special occasion. Must try at least once, you won't be disappointed!

    We celebrated my in-laws 50th anniversary at Cascone's tonight. We had a private dining room that was perfect! We could still here the love music which was so great! The starter antipasto platter was amazing! Cheese, olives (3 kinds), tuna, salami, capricola, peppers, and more! My lobster ravioli was unbelievable and a huge portion! The chicken parm was awesome as was the Johnny's Combo! Wow! Tons of food and so tasty! They also made a special chocolate ganache cake for the occasion and it was to die for (and I'm not a huge Choco-holic!)! The owners stopped in to say congrats which was so sweet! Great service and really good food!
